SmartClick: the smart dividable split-pipe
The SmartClick is a clever divisible tube that protects cables quickly and safely. You simply snap the clamp tube around existing cables, protecting them instantly from digging damage, or mechanical impact. The SmartClick is also ideal for temporary overhead applications: sturdy, reusable and easy to assemble.

Smart protection for every cable route
The SmartClick divisible casing pipe is designed for convenience and security. You simply click the tube around existing cables and pipes. This quickly protects cables from damage and keeps the cable network in use undisturbed.
Suitable for existing cables
The SmartClick dividable pipe protects existing cable networks. Both above and below ground. This keeps networks operational and prevents cable damage. The main advantage is that the tube can be placed around existing cables. Excavating, disconnecting or temporarily disabling cables is then not necessary. This saves time, costs and risks.
Reusable
The SmartClick is quick to (dis)assemble and can be used several times. Perfect for temporary applications.
Sustainable choice
Made of strong, recycled plastic with a long lifespan. Reusable and fully recyclable.
Provides maximum protection
Protects cables from excavation damage, fall damage and mechanical stress. Ideal for temporary overhead and permanent underground applications, especially during maintenance and works.
Simple coupling
The SmartClick's integrated socket-spigot connection facilitates installation and ensures complete protection.

All about the SmartClick
The two shell sections are connected and sealed by three sliding clamps. The integrated socket-spigot connection makes it easy to connect the clamp tubes. Each clamp tube has an anti-theft device that makes it difficult to open the shell sections, for those situations where the cable network needs to be better protected.
Flexes up to fifteen degrees without tension or deformation. Resistant to ground pressure and temperature changes.
Available in black with red clip or red with black clip. Other colours are available on request.
Suitable for applications between -20°C and +100°C, both above and below ground.
Made of recycled polypropylene (PP) and ABS clips. Resistant to most chemicals and hard-wearing in use.
- Ø60 mm (SN4, wall thickness 4 mm)
- Ø110 mm (SN4, wall thickness 4.5 mm)
- Ø160 mm (SN4, wall thickness 6 mm)
The smart dividable split-pipe is a dividable casing tube for existing cable networks in operation. The tube is placed around the existing cable route and is suitable for both temporary above-ground - and permanent - applications. Thanks to the integrated socket-spigot connection and clamping mechanism, the cable route is optimally protected. While the design increases laying speed and reduces installation costs. Made of 100% recycled plastic, load class SN4 and fully recyclable after use.
Optimal protection for overhead cables during track works. Power and communication cables remain in operation undisturbed and allow trains to continue running. Can also be hung on steel cables if the cable network is in the way of the work.
Suitable for protecting energy cables in use during works. The tube sheathes the cable, while the energy network remains in operation without interruption without switching off.
Suitable for optimum protection of cables during temporary work around factories, ports or construction sites. The divisible tube prevents damage and is quick to (dis)assemble.
Convenient solution for temporary cable protection during reconstruction or maintenance of roads, bridges and tunnels. Easy and quick to install and reusable.

Van Kessel brothers
SmartClick supports Meijnerswijck project in Arnhem
For the Meijnerswijck project in Arnhem, Gebr. Van Kessel Wegenbouw B.V. opted for our SmartClick split-pipe tube from PION Cable Protection. hese solution protects cables and pipes during ground raising, a crucial step in the preparation of this area on the south side of Arnhem. Meijnerswijck combines new construction with nature development and recreation. This requires flexibility and reliability in the subsoil. With SmartClick, cables can be safely laid without extra excavation work. This saves time and reduces the risk of damage. Easy installation and reusability make the system suitable for dynamic projects like this one.

Swietelsky / ProRail
Zuidas - SmartClick cable protection during rail works
Around station Zuid and the Zuidas, ProRail together with Swietelsky deployed our SmartClick PP clamp tube on a large scale. During intensive construction and excavation work, it is essential that cables remain optimally protected and that train traffic can continue. SmartClick proved its versatility in various applications. Both on the ground and suspended, the system ensures safe guidance of cables and makes it easy to reposition or retract them during maintenance. The choice of SmartClick was motivated by durability, flexibility and fast assembly. This allowed the project to be carried out efficiently and future-proof.

VGB Asphalt
SmartClick supports sustainable Bus-on-Flight project
For the Bus-on-Air Lane (BoV) project on the A67, VGB Asphalt applied our SmartClick on a large scale. This innovative system provides a safe and efficient way to protect cables during the construction of a route that allows buses to use the hard shoulder during traffic jams. SmartClick is quick and easy to install and is manufactured from recycled materials. This aligns the system with the project's sustainable objectives. The result is a robust infrastructure that contributes to improved accessibility and lower CO₂ emissions.
Frequently asked questions about SmartClick
Is your question not listed here? Feel free to call or e-mail us. We will be happy to help you find the right solution for your project.
What is a SmartClick divisible tube?
A divisible tube is a cable protection tube consisting of two trays that you can take apart. This allows you to protect existing cables without disconnecting them: you place one shell under the cables and clip the second one on top. You use them both underground against excavation damage and above ground for temporary protection.
What does a SmartClick cost?
The price of a SmartClick depends on the SN class. The higher the SN class, the thicker the wall and the more material is needed to make the cable protection tube. There is also a difference between smooth casing tubes (for permanent underground use) and divisible casing tubes (for temporary above-ground protection or when cables still have to be protected after laying). The latter consist of two parts and are sealed with a click or clamp system. Although divisible pipes are more laborious to manufacture than smooth pipes due to their click or clamp system, they are always cheaper than the consequential damage of a cable break.
Are there any other terms for SmartClick?
Many terms are used in the infrastructure sector, such as temporary protective tube, clamp tube, click tube, clamp sleeve, Panzar, Hardlock or Snipp Snapp. In the Rotterdam region, people often speak of a ‘clamp tube’, while in Belgium they are known as half-tubes, split tubes or cable shells.
What is the difference between a clamp tube and click tube?
The difference between the PP clamp tube and the PP click tube from PION Cable Protection is in the way it is closed. One tube has a clamp closure and the other a click closure. In addition, the SN value of the PP Click Tube is SN4 and that of the PP Clamp Tube is SN8. Depending on the required SN class, you can either apply both divisible options or the PP clamp tube with the SN8 skull pressure class.
What is the difference between SmartClick and a standard casing pipe?
A standard jacket pipe is a closed pipe through which cables must be pulled during installation. The SmartClick is used to protect cables already laid, without having to feed them through.
Can I also reuse SmartClick?
Yes, the SmartClick is specifically designed for reuse. You simply reopen the tube after a temporary project and deploy it at the next location. This makes it a sustainable and cost-efficient solution for contractors.
